Research

Five research directions connect materials, reactor structures, energy supply, and carbon circulation.

Electrified Catalysis

Direct Joule heating of structured catalysts to control where and how reaction heat is supplied, including electrified dry reforming and methanation.

CO₂ Conversion & Solid Carbon

Reaction systems that convert CO₂ into syngas and solid carbon while coupling equilibrium control, carbon formation, separation and recovery.

Structured & Spiral Catalysts

Spiral structures, porous metals and washcoats are used to engineer flow, heat transfer and mass transfer together with catalytic activity.

e-Reaction Processes

Electrified chemical processes that introduce electrical energy directly into catalysts and reactors for rapid response, local heating and compact operation.

Lattice Sulfur Catalysis

Sulfide lattice sulfur is treated as a reactive species. Sulfur release, vacancy formation and H₂S re-sulfidation create redox catalytic cycles.
